Homemade Taco Seasoning
Author:
Recipe type: Seasoning
Cuisine: Mexican
Serves: 2 TBS

So simple to make and no other added unnecessary ingredients you will find in store bought taco seasoning packets. I personally make a large batch once every few months, so I don't have to do this each time. Then put it into a mason jar with a lid and store with your other spices.
Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Onion Powder
  • ¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes Or ⅛ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Dried Oregano
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • 1 ½ tsp Ground Cumin, I only use 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients together. Use 1-2 tablespoons for giving your meat a good flavor. Once the meat is cooked, I add ¼ cup water and my seasoning and let it simmer for 5 minutes to soak up the flavor. *We use 1 tablespoon of seasoning because my kids are not big spice eaters.
