I am big on getting the kids excited about exercising their bodies. I love to do fun challenges when I can to get them gaining strength while having fun. Each Thanksgiving week we do a fun 7 Day PLANKSGIVING challenge together. The goal is to hold the plank for 1 minute each day.
Everyone is different at the level of strength they have, so it isn’t about comparing yourself with others. It is about meeting yourself where you are at and challenging yourself each day to be better than your last day. You might start off on your knees and move up to your feet by the end of the week. You might hold it for 10 seconds the first day and make it to 40 seconds the final day. Everything is progress and something to celebrate! Speak positive to yourself and make this a habit that lasts longer than these 7 days. π
