I like steal cut oatmeal even though it takes longer to make. About 25 minutes of simmering time. If you plan out your morning, then you can be making lunches or getting a workout in while it simmers. Once the oatmeal is cooked, then we add our fruit and toppings. I use one purple container from my Portion Fix containers. Fill up with fruit. Some examples are half with frozen blueberries and the other half sliced bananas OR fresh sliced strawberries. The kids like the banana mashed and mixed into the oatmeal. Have fun and make this your own with the fruit you like and using what is in season. We then sprinkle some ground cinnamon on top and mix in a teaspoon of almond butter as well.
1 cup cooked oatmeal – 1 yellow container
1 cup fruit – 1 purple container
Optional: 1 tsp Almond Butter
Extra Flavor – cinnamon, unsweetened coca powder, vanilla extract are a few other ways to add some flavor to your breakfast

For myself I will add in some ground flaxseed.
Want to add some healthy fat, mix in some almonds, cashews, pecans, or walnuts to get your blue container in for the day.
