Let me say it again, “Let’s refuse to let distractions be our excuse.”.
That is a pretty powerful sentence. I use the distraction of being a mom of three as why I am late the majority of the time, why I deserve to rest, why I am so unorganized and can’t keep the house clean most days.
BUT really, I choose to let all those things be an excuse. I am choosing not to leave the house earlier. I choose to be lazy when I have plenty of time to be organized and keep the house clean.
Everything we do is a choice we make. We have to take 100% of the responsibility and stop pointing the finger or making the excuses. Aren’t you done feeling exhausted, tired, cranky, short, and overwhelmed?? I am!!
Don’t you want to take control of this New Year and make a difference in your life? We only get one life, so every moment is our choice on how we decide to live it. How we decide to add to this world. How intentional we choose to be with our time each and every moment.
Will it be in front of the TV? Will it be playing with your kids? Will it be hitting snooze 10 times waking up in a panic rush? Will it be scrolling Facebook? Will it be waking up early to start your day productive?
YOU get to make the choice! Only you! So think wisely today, tomorrow and the days that follow, because with every action you take it is determining your future. Are we going to stay stuck where we are or make a change?
You can start by really listening to the thoughts happening inside your head and decide if something needs to change. When you slow down enough to hear those thoughts and think them through, before you act one them, you will be amazed at the change that will start happening inside you. Take that time…
Because YOU are worth it!!
