Love Your Body

Women, especially moms, are very hard on themselves when looking in the mirror. We seem to have so many negative thoughts about our bodies that we put ourselves in a negative mood. This month, I want us to work on our self talk and find ways to pamper ourselves and put ourselves first! NO GUILT!! I have learned that we need to feel our best, so we can be the best to those around us.

Here are a few ways that have helped me and can help you start increasing your positive happiness today…

-SMILE (It naturally lifts your mood.)

-SKIP (You cannot be sad skipping.)

-MEDITATE (This can be as simple as taking 5 slow deep belly breaths with your eyes closed. Try it.)

-LAUGH OUT LOUD (Watch a comedy or hang out with your funniest friend. Laugh until you cry!)

-BE GRATEFUL (Write down 5 things you are grateful for today. Do this every morning (download First 5 app). Focus on the positive in your life.)

-DANCE (Like no one is watching. Let your inner Phoebe and goofy side out!)

-EXERCISE (We all know sweating, kicking butt and putting it all out there in a workout improves your mood!)

Which of the 7 things above can you do today? I know they have all helped me during different times in my life. Do not try to do them all today. Slow and steady okay? Just try one and see how it feels. You might get hooked on this happiness thing. 😉

To build on putting yourself first and finding happiness in your life, I have created a fun LOVE YOUR BODY CALENDAR for my challengers. I love running challenge groups for my friends because it holds us accountable to take care of ourselves. During the months of February, May, August and November we are focusing on loving ourselves and speaking positive words of affirmation daily. I had to share the love and let others have access to this pretty awesome LOVE YOUR BODY calendar I put together. Feel free to add in things that fit your passions. These are just ideas to get you finding time to pamper, stress less, play more and put yourself first these months and the rest of the year!
