On Sundays we meal prep! This is still very new to me with staying consistent at it, but lunch and snacks prepped on Sunday really make the week go smoother and help me stay on track!
I prep for myself and my husband. To help me portion our meals it I use my trusty Portion fix Containers. Just the right amount to fuel my body and stay in moderation.
I pick one lunch and change a few ingredients up so it slightly changes day to day and then I do the same for my snack.
Our LUNCHES were a salad:
Red-grilled chicken or balsamic chicken pre cooked from a trader Joes
Green-spring lettuce mix with diced cucumbers or shredded carrots
Yellow- Cooked quinoa
Orange-Ginger salad dressing from Whole Foods
Our SNACKS were:
Red- canned tuna in water or 2 hard boiled eggs
Yellow- whole wheat crackers or Ezekiel bread/whole wheat bread
Purple- Seasonal fruit (grapes, strawberries)
Meal prep consisted of:
-hard boiling the eggs
-cooking a big batch of quinoa
-cleaning and cutting up strawberries, cucumbers, and grapes
Put it all together and place it in the fridge to grab easily during the week!! Now you can stress less and play more because you don’t have to worry about making your lunches or snacks and have the energy from good food to fuel you during the day!!
