Being a busy mom leaves not much time for me to take the drive to the gym. I barely have the focus to get out for a run, well, probably because I don’t like running. To be honest, I did not work out until my third child was 1 years old. Nutrition was always my main focus and it still is. I did however have my body rearranged after having three kids and it was not returning back with just nutrition alone. I did not feel good in my skin and my clothes did not fit the way they used to. I started doing DVD home workouts in 2014 and the change started happening! I get board doing the same thing, so I kept purchasing the next DVD workout program and then the next. Then something magical happened! They started streaming their workouts! I did not have to buy the next DVD program, I just had to pay a yearly cost and I had ALL of them at a click of a button! I could do a different workout everyday of the year if I wanted too!
Along with the workouts, I got digital access to the workout calendars, meal plans and even ways to hybrid my two favorite workouts together! For the nutrition loving person I am, they even have a cooking channel with new recipes added daily! Yes, please! The kids watch this and make healthy meals too! Every year new workouts are added to stream. Now they are in real time so you workout with the same people like you are going to the gym. They are sore and you are sore! It is AWESOME!
I will never get board! The kids like to join me and have favorite workouts of their own now. They love Country Heat where they learn dance moves with Autumn. They can easily click and do a workout that fits their needs, my husband has a workout that fits his needs and I can do mine all from one yearly membership! Our workouts can go where we go. I have worked out on the beach using my tablet. Got my cardio in at the campground using my phone. I downloaded my workouts ahead of time and did them when we were out at the farm with no internet signal. The excuses I used to have to NOT workout flew out the window and my consistency grew and the results came!
I know working out at home full time is not for everyone. If you are runner you could do PiYo or Yoga to keep those muscles stretched on non running days. If you are a gym goer this is a great backup plan when kids are sick or the weather has you snowed in. There are so many options that you will just have to see for yourself.
