- If I can find a fun way to eliminate some of the sugar my kids get during holidays I try. So I decided to try putting puzzle pieces in some of the kids eggs for a fun backyard family egg hunt. The kids LOVED the idea and were so excited to work together to put the puzzle together with the pieces they collected.
You will need larger eggs for the puzzle pieces to fit. How big the puzzle is depends on the ages of your children. I found a 100 piece that worked great for my 10 and 8 year old. My 4 year old lost interest at times but still had fun.
My husband and I had fun hiding the eggs all over our backyard.
The kids had had so much fun running around looking for the eggs.
Once they opened all the eggs they moved their puzzle pieces to the table and got to work.
They wanted an extra challenge and put it together with out looking at the picture. I look forward to continue this tradition each year.
