Here are a few simple ideas for healthy snacks for you and your family. I use my Portion Fix containers to help me eat the right portion of each. I will get pictures up soon for my examples. I am a visual person.
Hummus OR Guacamole with veggies to dip.
Fruit plus a Nut Butter to dip.
Fruit plus nuts on the side
Whole wheat wrap rolled up with your favorite cheese (goat, cheddar, mozzarella, feta)
Tortilla chips dipped in guacamole or hummus
Dark chocolate plus some nuts (almonds, cashews, etc.)
Vegetable plus a protein (turkey, chicken, hard boiled egg)
Protein (hard boiled eggs, turkey, chicken) plus a carb (whole grain crackers, whole wheat wrap)
Carb (popcorn) plus seeds (pumpkin seeds)
