Zoo Scavenger Hunt

July 6, 2018 by Melissa Leave a Comment

The Zoo is such a fun place for kids! I have not met a kid yet that does not like animals. There is just something fascinating about watching them! The Zoo also changes each time we go! The animals are doing different things each time, so it keeps things interesting. As a parent, I enjoy letting my kids walk the whole time. Great exercise and gets their energy out! When they were younger, I always had a stroller for a back up though. We were given a yearly family membership by my parents for Christmas last year! A great gift idea for sure!!

He is pretty excited we came to visit too!! Now let’s get started!! Adding the Zoo Scavenger Hunt to our visit changed how my kids interacted with each exhibit. You can print yours for FREE!!!  FREE PRINTABLE ZOO SCAVENGER HUNT

I noticed them verbally giving me characteristics about each animal trying to figure out what they could mark off on their sheet.

My oldest daughter enjoyed writing down the animals names next to each characteristic. She then continued to read more about the animals endangered status.

On this visit we got a VERY close look at the Malayan Tigers!!!! I actually got it on video so we can relive this amazing experience! I don’t think this will ever happen again. Check out our video! Keep your eyes on that tiger!!

The Zoo Scavenger Hunt works well for any age. A parent or older sibling can help the younger kids that cannot read yet. The older kids have many ways to extend the scavenger hunt by writing the names of the animals they find. It is all about enjoying learning about these beautiful animals and having fun together as a family. Enjoy some more pictures from our visit. Don’t forget to print out your FREE copy of the Zoo Scavenger Hunt!! FREE PRINTABLE ZOO SCAVENGER HUNT

To stressing less and playing more,

Melissa 🙂
