Camping Meal Prep Ideas

June 17, 2018 by Melissa Leave a Comment

Our family loves to go camping. It started with my husband and I tent camping when we first met. Then, we upgraded to my parents pop up camper when we had our two girls. We then upgraded to our now travel trailer that sleeps our family of five nicely.

Camping is is very relaxing and we keep electronics to a minimum. I do not like being stuck cooking the whole time, so I like to plan ahead for easy reheat or grilling meals. I wanted to share my meals with you to give you ideas for your future camping adventure!

Breakfast

cereal (low sugar, no food colorings) with fruit (pre cut strawberries, clementines, applesauce)

frozen sausage and hard boiled eggs with fruit

Oatmeal packets (watch the sugar in these) with fruit

Shakeology (add water and shake!)

Lunch

dinner leftovers

simple salad (buy pre washed salad, shredded carrots, pre rinsed chickpeas, cherry tomatoes) add salad dressing (my favorite brand is Bragg’s)

sandwiches (Cucumber or PB&J) with veggies (baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, celery) and raw ranch dip with chips on the side or…

orzo salad (made prior)

Dinner

Frozen Minestrone Soup

Frozen Chicken Noodle Soup

Frozen taco meat with homemade taco seasoning and the taco night line up

Pre made Chili so it is easy to heat up

Frozen beef or turkey burgers with precut grilling veggies and buns or lettuce wraps

Purchase a pre made salad in a bag at Trader Joe’s and it is a great side for dinner.

I hope these ideas help you prepare for you next family camping trip!! Enjoy and make memories that will last!
