Who doesn’t love some Taco Tuesday!? Here is a way to make tacos fun by changing it up a little each week and allowing the kids to build their own as well!
You must put these on IN ORDER! There is a system at our house. HAHA!
1st – Homemade Flour Tortillas
2nd – Sour Cream (AVOID Low Fat.)
3rd – Cheddar Cheese (I buy it whole and shred it by hand. So much better.)
4th – Meat/fish/Beans of choice (We typically do ground Turkey with our homemade taco seasoning.)
5th – Diced up tomatoes (You can also do salsa.)
6th – Romaine lettuce sliced up
Extras:
Guacamole when we have it on hand.
Then FOLD and ROLL up and enjoy! This is part of our build your own family meals. The kids can have tacos, cheese quesadillas. The parents can make large burritos, lettuce wraps or taco salads. So many ways to have a taco night! I have used fish taco filling. We have done chicken fajitas with sliced onions and peppers. YUM! You can add in our refried beans and Spanish rice for fillings too.
To stressing less and playing more,
Melissa 🙂
